Job Details

Time Commitment:
Full-Time
Location:
Burnaby, BC

about the Role

Vitacore is seeking a Controller or Senior Accountant for a hands-on, high-ownership role responsible for managing all aspects of accounting and financial reporting. This role will operate independently, partner closely with leadership, and take full responsibility for the day-to-day accounting function.

This is a full-cycle accounting role for someone who takes pride in getting the fundamentals right. You will own the accounting function end-to-end, from transaction-level detail through to financial reporting, and be accountable for accurate, well-run financials.

We are looking for someone who enjoys the work itself and is not above the details. This is not a purely strategic or oversight role – it requires someone comfortable rolling up their sleeves and managing the day-to-day.

At the same time, you’re naturally curious about the bigger picture. While this is first and foremost  an accounting role, there is opportunity over time to get involved in financial planning, analysis, and broader business decision support for someone interested in growing in that direction.

·       Experience operating at a Senior Accountant or Controller level in a small-to-mid-sized organisation.

·       Strong understanding of manufacturing accounting and inventory management.

·       CPA designation completed or in progress is strongly preferred.

·       Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

·       Strong communication skills and ability to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders.

Compensation:

·       From $80,000 to $105,000 CAD per annum

·       Comprehensive medical and dental benefits

·       3 weeks vacation

·       Tuition Assistance Program

·       Multiple company events throughout the year
